Following a successful season for the South Coast Wolves off the park, WIN Stadium has today confirmed it’s commitment to the National Premier Leagues, signing on to host games for the Wolves in 1015.
The picturesque stadium is Wollongong’s premier sporting venue, which last year saw thousands fill the stands to support South Coast Wolves in their Westfield FFA Cup fixture against the Central Coast Mariners.
Although it was the Mariners who ultimately progressed to the next round in that game, it was a monumental moment for the Wolves, and seeing the stands filled was a joy for football in the Illawarra.
That game, coupled with record numbers for the club in their NPL regular season fixtures, makes 2015 an exciting prospect to be a Wolves fan.
Wolves had a strong finish to their 2014 season however narrowly missed out on final series football. South Coast Wolves players visited countless local clubs to hand out 12,000 kids passes to have the opportunity to attend the Westfield FFA Cup.
