It was all cheers and smiles as Penrith played host to the 2015 Australian Foundation for Disability Christmas Party event on Friday 4th of December.

Over 1200 participants took part in this wonderful event which also showcased Football NSW’s involvement as Development Officers, Ed Ferguson, Anthony Herrera and Rob Fitzgerald all assisted in promoting the round ball game.

All three FNSW staff members put together special drills and matches for the 250 participants who engaged in the world game as they dazzled the many spectators with their skills and enthusiasm.

Australian Foundation for Disability Coordinator Toni Preston was very appreciative of the support Football NSW put forward on the day.

“Everyone loved the football drills and it was certainly one of the major highlights of the event.

“The crew from Football NSW were perfect.

“They interacted with our participants with disabilities and even asked if they could have a look at the Christmas function that was being carried out on the day.”

FNSW Community Development Officer Rob Fitzgerald was overwhelmed on how much support and interest football had on the day.

“It was amazing to have seen so many participants take part in our skills, drills and matches.

“It was heart-warming to have seen them play the game we all love with a huge smile on all their faces.”
