Round 9 was a washout due to the deluge that hit Sydney meaning all eight teams are pumped to get action back underway this weekend.

SD Raiders vs Gladesville Ravens, Sunday 12th June 2016, Ernie Smith Reserve

SD Raiders head back home to try and recapture pole position as they host the sixth placed Gladesville Ravens at Ernie Smith Reserve.

Catherine Cannuli hailed the spirit of her team after they tasted defeat for the first time this season to rebound with a dominant victory.

They possess threats across the park but their twin towers up front in Brittany Holzheimer and Dominique Caridad to unlock any defense in State League Women’s.

For Gladesville they have hit a slide in recent weeks due to injuries and form so coach John Cook will want his team to replicate their effort from the 2-2 draw earlier this season against SD Raiders.

Western NSW Mariners vs UNSW Lions, Sunday 12th June 2016, Jack Brabham Park

The competition leaders face the tough task of heading out west to take on the third place Western NSW Mariners Sunday afternoon.

UNSW Lions have been on a tear in the last month which shot them to first thanks to the performances of Georgia Goulding in the midfield.

She has been ably supported by Rachelle Godman up front but the Lions face their toughest test in State League Women’s best defense.

The Mariners have conceded nine goals this season but can also break forward well through Samantha Wood and Katie Pakai-Kelly to make for a mouthwatering contest.

St George FC vs Parramatta FC, Sunday 12th June 2016, St George Stadium

St George FC look to get themselves back on track with a home fixture against the improving Parramatta FC on Sunday afternoon.

The Saints started the season well but back to back losses has shunted them down to fifth in the table, six points off the finals positions.

Despite their woes – the form of Marissa Nicopoulos this season with six goals to her name in eight games which makes her someone the visitors need to mark.

Parramatta FC are hoping that the tactical tweak that almost edged them past Western NSW allows them to collect their first points of the season at St George Stadium.

APIA Leichhardt Tigers vs Mt Druitt Town Rangers, Sunday 12th June, Lambert Park

Round ten concludes under lights at Lambert Park as APIA Leichhardt aim to keep the pressure on the top three.

Matteo Maiorana has hailed the spirit of his Tigers players thus far this season and the forced break has allowed them to get some troops back.

It may be a busy night for Town Rangers keeper Toni-Rae Talbot and her defense in trying to halt the APIA strikers in Dana Buttigieg and Christina Ferreyra.
