Football NSW is excited to announce the extension of NOVA Employment as the presenting Sponsor for the Football4All Gala Day for 2016 and 2017.
This year’s event is to be held on Sunday 3 July 2016, at the home of Football in NSW namely Valentine Sports Park.
Now in its eighth year, Football4All is a Football NSW initiative that was introduced in 2009, aiming at giving people with a disability or special need an avenue to enjoy ‘The World Game’ with family and friends.
As well as small sided football on 12 outdoor pitches and Powerchair football in the indoor stadium, there will be plenty of entertainment and great catering available as well as having guest players of the Western Sydney Wanderers and The Australian Pararoos attendance.
Football NSW CEO Eddie Moore is delighted with the NOVA Employment partnership, a company who have had a proven track record of success and meaningful career development for people with a disability.
“The partnership with NOVA Employment and Football NSW in conjunction with our Football4All Gala Day, extends to 5 years and provides a great opportunity for football and a wonderful experience for many.
“The Gala Day itself provides players with a wonderful opportunity to partake in our beautiful game of football with family and friends in a carnival like atmosphere in a non-competitive environment.
“In 2015, there were 23 individual Football4All club programs operating within Football NSW offering the opportunity for players to enjoy participation in a fun, safe and less competitive football environment.
“The 2015 Football4All Gala Day involved close to 400 participants from our programs and various organisations across NSW and we see the same numbers if not more for the 2016 edition.
“With NOVA Employment’s support, it certainly consolidates the importance of being able to facilitate football enthusiasts with a special needs day as our game is inclusive for everyone.”
NOVA Employment is a not for profit charity that aims to achieve the employment of people who have a disability in competitive employment in the general community.
