A great turnout of over 170 coaches witnessed the 2016 FNSW State Coaching Conference last Weekend.

The theme of the conference was Player Centred Coaching and there has been great feedback from coaches regarding presentations on and off the park.

These presentations were varied and covered many aspects of football relevant to coaches.

This included in depth analysis of Relative Age Effect (RAE) and Biological Maturity in players from Dr Ric Lovell.

FFA National and Football NSW State updates were given by respective Technical Directors Eric Abrams and Alex Tobin whilst Ron Smith covered player centred coaching along with football analysis sourced through systematic analysis over many years.

National Teams came into focus with a Technical panel including Socceroos Assistant Coach Ante Milicic and Olympic Team Coach Josep Gombau while Manly Technical Director Warren Grieve also presented on player centred coaching and ran SAP and Game Training sessions out on the park.

Football NSW would like to thank all coaches for their continued support of these events and their ongoing commitment to raising football outcomes for players.

Better Coaches – Better Football.
