In line with the upcoming 2017 Grassroots Play Football season, Granville & Districts Soccer Football Association will be staging a special activation area near Parramatta Town Hall on Thursday 16th of February from 4pm to 6pm in conjunction with Football NSW, Western Sydney Wanderers and Parramatta Council.

Granville & Districts Soccer Football Association CEO Mike Quarmby was looking forward to the event with the hopes of seeing more players register in what will be a huge year for the oldest Association in NSW.

The purpose of this activation area is to promote new players into our organisation.

“We will have clubs in attendance, and facilities for players to register online.

“GDSFA and the Granville referees recently agreed to an affiliation partnership enhancing the bond between the organisations for the benefit of Football in our district.

“Representatives from the referees unit will be in attendance to talk to those from the public that are interested in becoming a referee.

“Western Sydney Wanderers’ big game against Sydney FC will be on that weekend, Saturday 18 February and it will be a great opportunity to promote this game as well as supporting Granville.

“Players from the Wanderers will be on hand to sign autographs and pose for photos in what will be a great day for all involved.

“If you are in or around the area come over and say hello.”
