Football is alive and well as over the weekend teams from within the Western Plains Association including Trangie Redbacks, Tottenham FC and Warren FC attended the ‘Trangie Gala Day’ with some fine weather supporting some great round ball action spanning from youth to senior clubs.

Various players from Western NSW Mariners FC were on hand to assist in running sessions for the participants from each of the clubs involved along with Football NSW Coach and Development Manager for Western NSW Andrew Fearnley.

In addition, Fearnley ran a ALDI MiniRoos Coaching Certificate which saw 20 coaches in attendance.

Fearnley was impressed with the coaching group who were full of energy.

“The 20 participants were very energetic and eager to learn as well as appreciate the new ideas that were shown which I am sure will be implemented into their training sessions for their teams across the Western Plains.”

Following on with the Gala Day theme in the Western Plains, Fearnley also attended the Warren and Tottenham FC clubs and stated his delight in seeing such quality football on show.

“It was pleasing to see the level of enjoyment from the players towards the game and also the level of skills that players had, which was a reflection of the continued focus on development for the players.”
