The theme of developing goalkeepers continued this week as the roadshow led by former Socceroo Jim Fraser took shape at Nepean Football Association’s Richmond Ex-Servicemen’ s Soccer Club who hosted the event.

Nepean FA’s goalkeeping present and Football Manager was delighted with how the evening unfolded.

“Whilst this was the fourth goalkeeping workshop so far this year, it is always a pleasure and honour to welcome goalkeeping royalty into the NFA.

“Having Jim Fraser share his knowledge, passion and experience with our local players is amazing.

“Jim is always so positive and encouraging and we’re looking forward to having him back in a few weeks to continue the course.

“This also provides me with a great opportunity professional to watch and discuss the needs of Community goalkeepers with the best in the game.”

Richmond FC’s long serving club administrator Tracey Boyd was equally pleased to have had the expertise of Fraser on hand on the night.

“We would just like to say a huge thank you to Jim for taking the time to come out to Icely Park and instruct the goalkeepers and coaches.

“I know it’s a long distance for him to travel but I am pretty confident in saying that we all learned some valuable skills and information on Goalkeeping techniques and coaching them.

“We would also like to thank Football NSW Coach Education Manager Oscar Gonzalez for the organisation that it took.

“It was all very much appreciated.”

The next stop for the Goalkeeper roadshow will see the Southern Highlands experience what will be yet another astute workshop conducted by one of the best custodians in the business.
