King Park Public School crowned PSSA Champions
Wakely based Primary School King Park Public School are the kings of football yet again.
The young football rising stars recently won the Primary Schools Sports Association knockout title for a record breaking eleventh time.
The six-month campaign saw the school defeat Dubbo South and Lindsay Park public schools leading into the Grand Final against Floraville Public.
It was a tight contest indeed, but the young Kings Park guns took it out 2-1 much to the delight of the players as well as the school.
Southern Districts Football Association Technical Director Rod Galic was delighted with the achievement King Park Public School achieved after presenting the school with the trophy and its medals.
“Over 500 schools took part in this year’s tournament and special credit must go to the teachers of King Park and the Westfields Sports High coaching staff led by Kory Babbington on their effort, organization and preparation of the boys football team.
“SDSFA is extremely proud of the achievement of one of its local schools and always supports the development and promotion of football in its association.”
