CIS Boys Dominant at All Schools Tournament
The annual All Schools Football Tournament was played at the end of June at Valentine Sports Park which featured teams across a range of age groups, from Combined High Schools (CHS), Combined Catholic Colleges (CCC) and Combined Independent Schools (CIS).
The 19 years and under Boys’ competition was won by CIS. The CIS squad won all three games and gained the major share of places in the combined teams to compete at the next level. NSW “Blue” and “White” teams will play teams from Queensland and the Australian Capital Territory in a “Tri-State” Tournament at Valentine Park on 1st and 2nd of August. CHS1 again won the 18 years and under Girls’ part of the tournament. The NSW All Schools Girls squad selected from the games will participate in the School Sports Australia (SSA) National Championships on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, in September: http://nswschoolsfootball.org.au/all-schools-girls-18s-2019/
A series of selection trial games were played as part of the All Schools Tournament to select a 16 years and under Boys team to also compete at the SSA National Championships.
