The Bonnyrigg White Eagles have announced a ground breaking and exciting new development at Bonnyrigg Sports Ground.

After 15 years of operating as separate entities, Bonnyrigg White Eagles FC (Football NSW) and Bonnyrigg Football Club (SDSFA) will come under one umbrella and operate as Bonnyrigg White Eagles FC effective immediately, for the 2022 season.

This history making merger will give players from grassroots football a direct and clear path into representative football as well as offering greater resources for all players and coaches at the club, from the youngest to the oldest.

Bonnyrigg FC president, Radenko Sucur, said it was the perfect time for the clubs to complete the merger.

“In light of recent Football NSW changes which made the merger possible, it is only fitting the two clubs reunite, also, the possibilities for players and coaches will be endless,” Mr. Sucur said.

The excitement is shared from White Eagles secretary Sinisa Kos.

“This is one of the biggest moments for the club in many years, maybe ever and we can’t wait to see the positives for all players across our proud football club,” Mr. Kos said.

“It’s a massive year for the club as we chase promotion back to our rightful place both in senior and youth football and this announcement adds greater positivity across the football sector.”

The future looks bright at Bonnyrigg Sports Ground as the club eagerly anticipates the start of the 2022 season.
