Goulburn hosts successful Football NSW Regional SAP Gala Day
Football was alive and kicking on Sunday as the Cookbundoon Sports Complex at Goulburn played host to the 2022 Football NSW Regional SAP Gala Day.
As many as 50 regional clubs took part in what was a fantastic day for the sport as there were matches played across the Under 9’s, 10’s, 11’s and 12 Boys as well as the Under 10’s and Under 12’s Girls categories.
The fifty plus clubs came from three regional branches which included Albury Wodonga FA, Bathurst FA, Football Wagga Wagga, Griffith FA, Mudgee Gulgong Wolves, Orange FA, Shoalhaven FA, Southern Branch, Western NSW Football as well as various Capital Football clubs.
“It was an excellent opportunity for varied teams in the Skill Acquisition Phase to come together and play some matches,” said Football NSW’s Regional Development Manager Andrew Fearnley.
“It has grown into a strong event and it is pleasing to see a positive approach taken by so many regional teams/clubs in the small sided format for young male and female footballers.”
