Football NSW hosts successful SAP Regional Gala Day

Over 60 teams from across regional NSW converged at Goulburn’s Cookbundoon Sports Complex to take part in the 2023 Football NSW SAP Regional Gala Day.

Teams from Southern NSW Football, Western NSW Football, Football Wagga Wagga, Griffith FA, Eurobodalla FA, Southern Tablelands FA and clubs from within Capital Football all participated in shortened matches across U9/10/11/12 Boys and U10/12 Girls.

In addition, Football NSW held its TSP Regional Boys Game Day for Under 15 and 16 Boys.

The previous week the TSP Regional Girls Game Day for Under 14 Girls and Under 16 Girls was held at the same venue.

“It was a massive day, but it was pleasing to see so many regional teams playing the Gala Day with the small sided football concept at the heart of enabling players to both develop and enjoy playing,” said Football NSW’s Regional Development Manager Andrew Fearnley.

“Having the TSP Game Day on as well was positive for us to look at the players in our TSP in matches as we continue to analyse players and their development.

“Our TSP Coaching staff also got to witness first hand the young players across boys and girls playing small sided football.”
