Football NSW has announced members of the Indigenous Advisory Group (FNSWIAG) who will bring a wealth of knowledge and insight into current and emerging goals of the First Nations community across the state.

In alignment with Football Australia’s National Indigenous Advisory Group, the FNSWIAG will provide expertise and advice to Football NSW on the Governing bodies Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and broader engagement initiatives relating to First Nations people.

“We are really excited to bring onboard our formally recognised group, its great to see old and new faces that are passionate about First Nations football in NSW,” said Football NSW’s Inclusion and Diversity Coordinator Annabel Meadley.

“I have no doubt this group will help Football NSW do great things and will see First Nations football continue to grow and thrive.”

By establishing our formal Indigenous Advisory Group, Football NSW is ensuring that we listen to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander voices; this body will be able to provide expert advice and guidance on matters of policy and practice that affect first nations people in football.
