NSW Sports Awards finalists announced

Finalists in each of the 2023 NSW Sports Awards categories have been announced by Sport NSW with Football fairing in as many as five categories.

Shellharbour born Matildas star Caitlin Foord was nominated in the ‘Athlete of the Year’ while the highly successful Sydney FC A-League Women’s side will hope to grab ‘Team of the Year’ honours.

Football NSW was nominated in ‘Organisation of the Year’ while Football NSW’s Head of Legal & Governance Lorenzo Crepaldi was nominated in the ‘Administrator of the Year’ category.

While finally, NSW Cerebral Palsy Men’s Football team was nominated in the ‘Team of the Year with a Disability’

The 2023 NSW Sports Awards are NSW’s highest sports honours, and the 12 category winners will be revealed at the prestigious rebel NSW Champions of Sport Ceremony at the International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Darling Harbour on Monday, November 20.

The Ceremony will be attended by the elite of NSW sport and the Awards celebrate the achievements of NSW athletes, coaches, administrators, officials, and organisations.

The Awards ceremony will also unveil former NSW Sapphire and ex-Matildas star Heather Garriock as the newest inductee into the NSW Hall of Champions.
