Manly Warringah FA clubs chasing Champion of Champions success
It’s been a successful 2024 season for the Manly Warringah Football Association (MWFA) and as the year draws to a climatic close, as many as ten teams from the Northern Beaches area, the most of any other association, will have the opportunity to clinch some final silverware at this weekend’s Champion of Champions.
Valentine Sports Park will be a hive of activity with 18 matches set to grip the home of Football NSW with various MWFA clubs set to be involved in more than half those finals.
Recently appointed MWFA Chief Executive officer Vicki Halpin couldn’t hide her excitement seeing the likes of clubs such as Belrose-Terrey Hills Raiders (3 teams), Collaroy Cromer Strikers (3 teams), Wakehurst FC (2 teams), Seaforth FC (1 team) and Mosman FC (1 team) all book their tickets to the big dance.
“Football NSW’s Champion of Champions is an important event that showcases the best that community football has to offer.
“Manly Warringah Football Association is delighted to once again be the association with the most teams participating in the Champion of Champions Finals.
“As an association which prides itself on the development of girls and women’s football, we are also proud to have the most women’s teams in the Finals (along with Northern Suburbs FA).
“We wish our teams all the best for this weekend, and we hope to see supporters of MWFA teams out in force at Valentine Sports Park.”
