Women in Football Scholarship Program – Volunteer

Football NSW has partnered with Online Courses Australia to provide access to a series of online educational courses for volunteers and administrators. Each scholarship includes a $350 financial contribution to courses offered by Online Courses Australia.

Online Services Australia is a self-paced learning platform with courses delivered completely online making it accessible to everyone.
Online Courses Australia are accredited with the globally recognised CPD Services, meaning that every hour of learning = 1 CPD units.

Successful applicants can select from the below courses as “Course of Choice”:
• Prepare and Monitor Budgets
• Leadership Skills Certificate
• HR, Conflict Communication Certificate
• Develop Your Interpersonal Skills Certificate

Football NSW has partnered with Sport NSW to provide scholarships for Association and Club committee members to complete the Governance Foundations for Not-for-Profit Directors course delivered by Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Over the last 40 years, the AICD has been helping organisations and sporting associations to improve their governance practices, enabling clubs to enhance their performance.

This program is a one and a half day course which provides participants with an understanding of fundamental compliance and performance related roles and responsibilities of directors, specifically in the areas of governance, risk, financial performance and strategy.

Rhe topics covered in the program are:
• Duties and Responsibilities of NFP Directors
• Finance for NFP Directors
• Strategy and Risk for NFP Directors

Case studies examined in the course look specifically at sporting examples for greater relevance to the sports context we work in. The Australian Institute of Company Directors are accredited with the globally recognised CPD Services, and competition of this course will earn you 20 DPD units.
