Indigenous Football Players Wanted
The Harry Williams Cup (HWC) has been designed to offer Indigenous footballers the chance to be developed and identified for future representative opportunities as well as have a fun and rewarding football experience.
Indigenous footballers are invited to participate in the 2008 Harry Williams Cup which will consist of training sessions to develop skills, followed by a gala day where Indigenous squads will compete against local school and club teams.
The age categories are as follows:
*U/14 Girls (born 1994) and U/16 Girls (born 1992)
*U/12 Boys (born 1996)
*U/14 Boys (born 1994)
*U/16 Boys (born 1992)
Players who fall within the Football NSW boundaries of Sydney Metropolitan, Riverina, Southern Branch, Western Branch and Central Coast are eligible to participate.
The HWC will be held in the first week of the April School holidays, commencing on Monday 14th April 2008All Indigenous players will stay at Valentine Sports Park, Glenwood throughout the tournament free of charge.
Participants will need to attend their nearest clinic and be selected to attend the Harry Williams Cup.
