Tirovski?s rise to the occasion at West Sydney Berries

The 24-year-old, a former top scorer of the Super League with the Rockdale City Suns and an ex-Sydney Olympic and Bankstown City star has been one of Scott Baillie?s finds of the season.
Tirovski stated that West Sydney Berries? performances this year have turned some heads in the TeleChoice Premier League especially after many punters believed that they were tipped for the dreaded wooden spoon after an abysmal Johnny Warren Cup campaign.
?I do believe that this season many teams underestimated us that?s for sure, especially after we had a rough trot in the Johnny Warren Pre-Season Cup.
?It did take a while for us to gel but I think that we?ve done enough to show many people out there that were weren?t no pushover side.
?I still think and remain positive that we can crack a top five spot.
?We?ve given a few big teams a run for their money and a lot of this has gone down to all the boys? character, so we are hoping that come second half of the season we can finish even stronger in possibly grabbing a Finals Series finish.?
Prior to signing for the Berries this year, Tirovski was part of Peter Tsekenis? Bankstown City squad where he found it tough cracking into the first team squad thus his move to Scott Baillie?s side in 2008.
?I really wanted more game time and as a player you are always looking for that.
?I had some good memories at Bankstown but I knew I wasn?t one of their main players and I really wanted to be part of the core of the squad.
?I weighed up my options at the end of the year and Berries looked like the best club for me in getting my chance to show my worth.?
Tirovski got his chance to shine against his former club when the Berries took on Bankstown during their Anzac Day clash and the former player got his just revenge when they took all three points in a 2-0 win at Jensen Park.
?I received some tough treatment from Bankstown but that was expected.
?For some reason I always loved playing at Jensen Park so to have gotten all three points was a huge bonus for us as it?s a really tough place to get maximum points from.?
Following his year with the Berries, Tirovski hasn?t ruled out a move overseas once more after he undertook trials in Greece and Slovenia in 2007.
?I had a few trials in 2007 in Greece with Kallithea and Atromitos and then went to Slovenia for trials but I had visa issues that brought me back home.
?Having a taste of football over there was great and I would love to be part of that someday.
?Right now though I want to concentrate in playing good football with the Berries and getting more game time and then taking it from there.?
