They defeated Queensland 1-Nil in the final, but the impressive part about their result was the fact that they were without 4 of their players who have been chosen to represent Australia at the 2009 CPISRA International Football 7-A-Side Championships being held in the Netherlands from 20 October 2009 to 2 November 2009.
The younger players stepped up to fill the void left by these players not being available.
The stand out for the New South Wales for the tournament was 13 year old Connor Marsh who plays for Penrith Soccer Club, within the Nepean District.  Connor impressed from the very first match with a diving header to score and secure the teams opening match win against Victoria.
The NSW team suffered a set back for the tournament when Captain Chris Restall suffered a arm injury and had to miss a number of matches.  The captaincy was handed over to 14 year old Jack Williams from Newcastle who lead the side like a veteran.
The NSW Youth team consisted of the following players:
Chris Restall (Captain)              Jeffrey Casey
Bailey Ferguson                       David Hurwitz
Zachary Mann                          Nick Riches
Kyle Schaberg                          Ben Sutton
Jack Williams                           Connor Marsh

The following NSW players have been chosen to represent Australia at the 2009 CPISRA International Championships.
Sam Larkings (Captain)                          Ben Atkins (Vice Captain)
Brett Fairhall                                          Brett Cross
Pat Grant                                              Jamie Laybutt
Ned McCabe                                         Aidan Bennison
Daniel Berry
This is an excellent achievement as only 12 players have been selected for the tournament.  Ned McCabe, Aidan Bennison and Daniel Berry will be making their international debut.
The rest of the Australian team consist of Thomas Goodman (SA), Jamie Paulsen (QLD) and Jarrod Law (QLD).
