para

The NSW team took on the old enemy of QLD in the final to come away with a 2-Nil victory in a very hard fought match.
The match lived up to the usual state versus state rivalry.
NSW were very patient in their play and scored the opener in the 15th minute of the first half through some excellent work by Jamie Laybutt.  With 10 mins to go in the match Jack Williams scored the second for NSW and seal the win and their 6th National Championship in 7 years.
The players had a very busy schedule and played a total of 7 games in just 4 days.  They scored a total of 19 goals and conceded 0.
Chris Pyne (Captain) received the George Tonna Medal for man of the match during the finals.
Sam Larkings (Vice Captain) received the golden gloves award for the best goal keeper.
One of the outstanding players in the final was 14 year old James Turner who lives in Diamond Beach.  James is one of the up and coming players for NSW who have a brilliant future in front of him.  Other stand out players were also 14 year old Connor Marsh from Penrith and 15 year old Jack Williams from Valentine.
