APIA Leichhardt Tigers 3 – 0 Parramatta Lady Hawks
APIA Leichhardt Tigers posted its second win of the season after defeating bottom placed Parramatta Lady Hawks 3-0 at Lambert Park.
Samantha Haltech got the ball rolling with neat finish in the 20th minute while Madeleine Bollard grabbed a double to give Glenn Errington’s squad a well-deserved win.
Dione King sent in a teasing cross to Bollard who scored her first in the 30th minute while her final goal was individual brilliance from the star of the day as Madeleine broke through the middle of the park and drew the Lady Hawks keeper out and calmly slotted for the third goal of the match.
Southern Districts Emeralds 0 – 4 Nepean FC
Nepean FC recorded a 4-0 victory over the Southern Districts Emeralds in what was a one sided affair.
It was Nepean’s fourth victory in a row which has now seen them consolidate third position on the ladder.
It was a day to forget for the home side, having only one once in their last five matches.
Gladesville Ravens 1 – 1 Mt Druitt Town Rangers
It was points shared as the Gladesville Ravens drew 1-1 with the Mt Druitt Town Rangers.
Madeleine Paslis was the x-factor for the Ravens as she scored her fourth goal of the competition to keep her clubs finals hopes alive.
The Rangers were pushing for the victory to equal Bankstown City on top of the ladder but it wasn’t to be even though Brooke Conroy bagged a goal for the visitors. It was her 13th goal in fourteen games, a phenomenal effort as the Rangers continued its surge on the Premiership trophy.
St George FC 5 – 4 Bankstown City FC
St George FC defeated Bankstown City FC in what was a high scoring affair as the home side ran out 5-4 victors.
It was an epic match which saw action galore as the two best attacking sides went toe to toe.
Lauren Gardner and Melissa Toumbelekis bagged a brace while Rachelle Wang scored the other goal for the Saints while for the visitors Samantha Muscat was on song again with a goal along with Melissah Parlato and Tania Baban scoring a double.
