Third takes on fourth in an integral match in determining seeding for the top four places Sunday afternoon at David Phillips Field.
UNSW head home after a nerve jangling 3-2 victory against Mt Druitt while SD Raiders lost some ground in a score draw.
Emily Fardell has taken over the scoring for the Lions in recent weeks with five goals making her combination with Georgia Goulding will be a challenge for the Raiders defense.
For the visitors – Dominique Caridad led from the front again and the battle between the strikers makes for a mouth watering contest.
Western NSW Mariners vs Mt Druitt Town Rangers, Sunday 24th July 2016, Proctor Park, 3pm
Western NSW Mariners have arguably been the form side of the competition and aim to continue that run against seventh placed Mt Druitt.
Mariners coach Michael Godbier will welcome no more catch up games for his side and hopefully add to their five point advantage at the summit of State League Women’s.
Kayla Steeden has been a rock at the back for the Mariners helping to keep a clean sheet last weekend in a solid 4-nil display.
For Mt Druitt they are constantly improving and pushed UNSW Lions to the limit last week and can play the spoiler for the last six weeks of the season.
St George FC vs Gladesville Ravens, Sunday 24th July 2016, St George Stadium, 3pm
Fifth takes on sixth in a tight contest to try and gain ground on the top four Sunday afternoon at St George Stadium.
Gladesville Ravens have experienced an upswing in the last few weeks in large part to midfielder Isabelle Hatton’s seven goals and winger Isabella Breukelaar’s play.
St George FC produced a gallant display against SD Raiders and coach Carlo Tini hopes their front three can help the run continue.
Both teams harbour thoughts of playing finals football and this makes Sunday a vital three points to collect.
APIA Leichhardt Tigers vs Parramatta FC, Sunday 24th July 2016, Lambert Park, 7pm
APIA Leichhardt conclude the round under lights as they take on Parramatta FC in a repeat of their round two clash at Lambert Park.
They came through with a scrappy 1-nil victory over Gladesville with a star performance from Koo Barbi in midfield despite a slew of absences for the Tigers.
Yadira Renfigo scored a goal last time these two sides met and hopes to add to four goals for Parramatta this season Sunday night.
The Tigers possess a talented squad and are starting to firm themselves for a final push before the finals and securing their top two spot.
