DECLARATION OF LEAGUES – FOOTBALL NSW 2020 COMPETITIONS

Declaration-of-leagues-2020

The Board of Football NSW has declared the leagues for its 2020 competitions.  These include the Men’s, Women’s, Boys’ and Girls’ leagues that will conducted by Football NSW in the 2020 season.

The Declaration of Leagues confirms the clubs that will participate in the new structure that has been put in place for Men’s and Boys’ football for 2020, including NPL 4.

Due to the reduction in the overall number of clubs that will compete in the Men’s competitions in 2020, four applicant-clubs that had been competing in Football NSW competitions were unsuccessful in their application.  In arriving at its decision as to which clubs would be accepted into the 2020 competitions, the Board of Football NSW took into account the results of a set of criteria used to assess the applicants as well as geographic considerations.

Football NSW would like to acknowledge the unsuccessful applicant-clubs, Balmain Tigers FC, FC Gazy Auburn, Hurstville City Minotaurs and Western Condors FC and the contributions they have made to Football NSW’s competitions over the years.  Football NSW would also like to acknowledge and thank the tireless service that the many volunteers associated with those clubs have provided to the game of football over the years.

Football NSW welcomes the Newcastle Jets FC who will participate in the 2020 NPL 4 NSW Men’s and 2020 NPL 2 Youth competitions.  The inclusion of the Newcastle Jets FC reflects the collaborative relationship that Football NSW has with its neighbouring Member Federation, Northern NSW Football, and provides players from that area with greater development opportunities.
