Annual General Meeting – 27 March 2025
On 27 March 2025, Football NSW held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) in respect of the 2023-24 financial year at Valentine Sports Park.
During the AGM, Football NSW Chair, Gilbert Lorquet, provided a year in review while thanking outgoing Board members Steph Brantz and Carlos Gonzalez.
The terms of three Elected Directors expired at the AGM with a vote taking place to fill these positions.
Irene Hatzipetros and Ian Holmes were successful in their candidacy, with Lorquet re-elected to the Board.
Immediately following the conclusion of the AGM, the Board re-elected Lorquet to the role of Chair and elected Deborah Chapman as the new Deputy Chair.
Lorquet paid tribute to the outgoing Board Members for their contributions and congratulated the two new Directors.
“Steph has played an important leadership role for Football NSW and I am incredibly thankful for the support and leadership she provided to me and the Board over the past few years,” he said.
“Carlos has also provided invaluable insights and displayed unwavering commitment to the growth of football across all levels during his tenure.
“Congratulations to Irene, Ian and to the new Deputy Chair, Deborah. I look forward to continuing the progress being made across Football NSW alongside my Board colleagues who will provide an important voice for football over the coming years.”
