Football NSW hosted the third FNSW Follow Your Lead event at Allianz Stadium, celebrating the growth and impact of women in football 💫

This event follows six Women’s Leadership Programs over the past three years, which have seen over 130 women working or volunteering in football across NSW join the program alumni. The event marked a celebration of the program’s impact, helping participants develop their leadership skills, expand their networks within the game, and make a meaningful impact, inspiring others while shaping the future of football.

2025 NPL MEN'S NSW REFEREE OF THE YEAR

Jake Rose catches up with Football NSW Media Manager Mark Stavroulakis after being named the NPL Men’s NSW Referee of the Year.

Rose began his refereeing career with Hills Football Referees before progressing to state-level matches with the FNSW Referees Branch. He was a mainstay throughout the NPL Men’s NSW season, delivering consistently strong performances that culminated in his selection as Referee for the NPL Men’s NSW Grand Final.

The 2025 Football NSW State Dinner was held at the Visy Dior International in Norwest, bringing together Directors, Life Members, and guests from across the football community for an evening of celebration and recognition.

The night celebrated the elite few who have provided consistent and invaluable service to football at the community level, with a special highlight being the presentation of the George Churchward Medal to Ian Cockburn of the Southern Branch Association for his remarkable dedication and commitment to the game.
