Zeljko Kalac appointed Inter Lions FC Head of Men’s Football
Football NSW League One Men’s side Inter Lions have appointed former Socceroos goalkeeper Zeljko Kalac as its Head of Men’s Football for the 2025 season.
Having recently coached Sydney United 58 in the National Premier Leagues Men’s NSW competition, Kalac has kept a close eye on Inter over the past few seasons with his involvement with the keepers.
“Zeljko brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for the game, having had an illustrious career both on and off the field,” the club issue in its press statement.
“Zeljko’s career is nothing short of remarkable. As a player, he won the Champions League with AC Milan, played in the 2006 FIFA Men’s World Cup for Australia.
“He was a formidable goalkeeper, representing clubs such as Sydney United, Leicester City, Roda JC, Perugia, and AC Milan. He also earned 54 caps for the Australian national team, showcasing his skills on the international stage. Transitioning into coaching, Zeljko has continued to make his mark, bringing his extensive knowledge and tactical acumen to various teams.
