2023 Champion of Champions finals set for this Sunday
Football NSW is set to host its 53rd Champion of Champions Finals this Sunday at Valentine Sports Park as seventeen matches will take place in what will be a huge day as 38 of NSW’s cream of the crop grassroots clubs will meet to determine who will be the Champion of their respective age group.
Over 300 teams participated in Football NSW’s prestigious knockout tournament as over five thousand plus players battled week in week out in the hope of landing a spot in Sunday’s Finals.
Football NSW’s spiritual headquarters Valentine Sports Park is set to come alive with football action commencing at 8:15am with the final matches kicking off at 4:15pm.
A bumper crowd is expected to soak in the sights, sounds and atmosphere on what is one of the organisation’s most popular events for grassroots football.
In an amazing achievement, the Manly Warringah Football Association (MWFA) will field the most teams with as many as eleven that will hope to capture as many titles as possible for the proud area at the Northern Beaches.
Alongside MWFA, Sutherland Shire FA (5), Football St George (3) Nepean FA (3), Football South Coast (2), Northern Suburbs FA (2) and North West Sydney Football (2) will also have strong representatives at the big dance.
Clubs from Central Coast Football (1), Football Canterbury (1), Granville & District Soccer FA (1), Hills Football (1), Macarthur FA (1) and Southern Districts Soccer FA (1) will also fight for their right to win silverware in this well-respected tournament.
A special mention to Sutherland Shire FA’s Cronulla Seagulls FC who will have 3 teams featured (18 Men, 21 Men, Over 45 Men), while Northern Suburbs FA’s Lindfield FC (16 Girls, 17 Boys) and Manly Warringah FA’s Wakehurst FC (15 Girls, 18 Men) and Pittwater RSL FC (16 Girls, All Age Men’s) will have two teams pushing for glory this Sunday.
