Football Stars of Tomorrow Recognised by the NSW Sports Federation

Football Stars of Tomorrow, although primarily targeted at children aged 8-16, proved to be popular with adults as well and accumulated an average of 92,000 viewers a week, resulting in a total viewership of 1.75 million.
Its aim was to not only promote the game at the grassroots level, but also to target viewers from various demographic backgrounds.
It previously screened on both Fox Sports and SBS and is confirmed to be screened on Fox Sports for the next 12 months.
Commercial Services Executive Manager Tony Peters, who is set to begin production on the fourth season of Football Stars of Tomorrow, was elated following the announcement.
?Given the tough opposition against the Sydney Morning Herald, the Daily Telegraph and WIN News it?s a major complement to both the program and the organisation.?
Peters first began at Football NSW in August 2005, given the task of producing a grassroots program.
By December 2005, the preliminary concept design of ?Football Stars of Tomorrow? was established.
Utilising 25 years worth of experience added with the recognition of two Walkley Awards, Peters structured a program that appealed not only to footballing juniors, but to the wider footballing community.
Segments including ?Goal of the Week?, ?Coaching Tips?, ?Star of Tomorrow?, ?Futsal Fever? and a weekly NSW Premier League highlights piece, as well as a Celebrity component which included the likes of Steve Waugh and Anthony La Paglia, were all part of this ground breaking program.
?A lot of praise has to go to well known football identity Andy Paschalidis who has been involved with the program since day one? said Peters.
Growing from strength to strength, 2009 promises to be a another ground breaking year for Football Stars of Tomorrow will Football NSW envisioning the program airing on commercial TV.
?The next step is to take the program to the next level and talks are well advanced with the Nine network? said Peters.
