1) Your name and occupation?
Clare Tyson, Legal PA ? Minter Ellison Lawyers
2) Your favoured playing position?
I would say right wing now, but anywhere in the midfield.
3) What was your first junior club?
Burwood FC ? under 6’s
4) What made you take up football?
My brothers.  I always watched my older brothers play soccer, and my Dad used to coach.  I wanted to join in so much that I kept running on the field in the middle of my brother’s games.  So my dad used to carry me on his hip whilst coaching to keep me away from the ball!
5) Who has been your most positive influence on your football career?
Probably my family, they never go a day without encouraging and supporting me with all my decisions and goals in regards to my football.  Besides that I have my coaches to thank.  Each and everyone of them has taught me something new about the game, in which I have taken aboard to better my skills and approach to football itself.
6) Which footballer do you admire most?
Lucas Neil.  I would love to be able to defend like him.  As well as having the ability to move the ball as well as he does, under pressure.
7) Do you have any match day superstitions (lucky socks, left shoe before right, etc)?
I don’t have many superstitions, but if I don’t have a headband on it doesn’t feel right to play.
8) If you could have a dinner party with any three famous people who would they be? Why?
1.  Nelson Mandela ? It would be amazing to be able to hear his wisdom and outlook on life.
2.  Lucas Neil ? Just because he is an amazing soccer player and I would love to talk to him about it all.
3.  Lance Armstrong ? Sporting hero.  All heart!  Would love to get advice off him.  He would be inspirational.
9) What song best describes your approach to football?
I Believe ? Yolanda Adams
10) Is there a particular pre game meal you like to eat?
I generally don’t like to eat right before my game.  But I would say a Boost Juice or a Banana is generally what I eat to give me the energy to play!
11) What is your favourite football memory?
That is a tough one.  I have been playing football for 16 years this year and every game I play I make new favourite memories.  I always enjoy the challenge of playing against people that I know have played for the matildas.  But I would have to say my favourite memory would probably be winning my first grand final.  It will always replay in my mind, even though it was such long time ago.
