The final stage has been set as Football NSW today announced the 2025 Hahn Australia Cup Preliminary Round 7 fixtures with the four winners advancing to the coveted Round of 32 with some cracking matches set to light up the knockout competition.

Headlining the four games is the ‘Derby d’Italia’ encounter between old rivals APIA Leichhardt FC and the Marconi Stallions at Lambert Park. As was the case last year, both iconic Australian clubs were drawn together with APIA running out 2-1 winners. APIA coach Franco Parisi and Marconi’s long serving manager Peter Tsekenis understand the importance of making the round of 32 so expect fireworks in Sydney’s Inner West. The likes of quality players such as Jordan Segreto, Jack Stewart, Seiya Kambayashi, Marko Jesic, Domenic Costanzo and Lachlan Griffiths to name a few will be ready for a huge clash between two quality outfits.

Landen Stadium will play host to Blacktown City FC taking on League One Men’s high-flyers SD Raiders. Mark Crittenden’s troops love a Cup run and will be seen as favourites to progress however they come up against a formidable outfit in the Raiders who knocked out Rockdale Ilinden in Round 6 on penalties. Crittenden will turn to his experienced stars such as Travis Major, Mitch Mallia, Grant Lynch, Jak O’Brien and Danny Choi to get them through but are warned not to underestimate their opponents. Raiders keeper Michael Figueira has been solid underneath the sticks while the likes of skipper James Letta, Noah Chianese, Charlie Ragg, Sebastian Malfara and Yonatan Sebhatu will all pose as threats.

Sydney United 58 have the chance to make it eight appearances in the Round of 32 (more than any other NPL club in Australia) when they face League Two Men’s surprise packets Granville Rage. Ante Juric’s troops will rely on the likes of one of the most prolific Australia Cup top goalscorers in Patrick Antelmi along with skipper Adrian Vlastelica, Mario Shabow, Carlos De Oliveira and Matthew Hatch to flush out their opponents. One player making his return to Edensor Park will be Ante Tomic who has been in fine form for the Rage and will be the player most likely to cause issues. Former Bonnyrigg White Eagles attacker Asmir Kadric will be another player keen to impress as will Branko Vidakovic and Yuto Shinagawa.

While finally it will be an all-League One Men’s affair at North Turramurra Recreation Area as the Northern Tigers take on Hills United in a winner takes all clash. What will be very chilly conditions in Sydney’s Northern Suburbs, Northern Tigers will hope that this will be the year they finally earn their ticket to the Round of 32. Sharpshooter Kai Denton along with Jesse Spang, Alexander Brown and Lachlan Lloyd will be fired up as will the Hills side who, by no means will be pushovers. Keeper Ryan Wood along with Glen Kelshaw, Lachlan Sepping and Wade Giovenali will be ones to watch out for.

All four matches will be shown live and exclusive on Football NSW’s YouTube channel with fixtures scheduled to be played at this stage on Tuesday 27th May, Wednesday 28th May and Thursday 29th May 2025.

The winners of these fixtures will not only progress to the Round of 32 of the Hahn Australia Cup but will also challenge for the 2025 Waratah Cup, a title currently held by APIA Leichhardt FC, with the four winners making up the semi-finals.
