Future stars light up Valentine Sports Park
The Football NSW Talent Support Programs (TSP) tournaments recently took place over the April school holidays at Valentine Sports Park providing an incredible opportunity for talented young footballers to compete at a high level and in a unique environment.
The boys’ tournament brought together top talent from Sydney FC, Regional TSP, Newcastle Jets, Central Coast Mariners, Northern NSW, Bulls FC Academy and five TSP metro teams.
There were plenty of impressive individual and collective performances throughout with players showcasing the key Football NSW player traits of being Adaptable, Brave, and Creative.
Football NSW’s Regional NSW TSP teams used this as an opportunity to hold a training camp with sessions held the day prior to each age group’s match day as part of the final selections for the NSW Country State Teams.
“The primary goal of the TSP is to create high-quality match minutes for players while tracking and monitoring their development, with the potential for selection in state and national teams,” said Football NSW’s Player Development Manager for the Boys, Phil Myall.
“A massive thank you to everyone who made these tournaments a success, including the coaches, players, officials, and supporters.
“We look forward to seeing these young stars continue to develop and excel on the pitch.”
The Boys TSP term two will commence on the 20th of May for 2011-born players, while the 2010-born players will return post Emerging Socceroos Championships in July.
