Parramatta Stadium to host 2010 NSW Premier League Grand Final

During the former National Soccer League days Parramatta Power played its home matches between 1999 till 2004 and hosted seven NSL Grand Final matches in 1986, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1993, 2001 and 2004 (the last ever NSL Grand Final match before the competition folded).
A-League side Sydney FC have utilised the pitch with one of their AFC Champions League games against Persik Kediri while in February 2010 during the 2009-2010 season, the Sky Blues played out a thrilling 3-2 victory over Perth Glory.
The venue has played host to many other sporting codes with Baseball, Rugby Union and of course Rugby League with it being the home base for NRL side the Parramatta Eels.
Once known as Cumberland Oval, the stadium itself can hold a maximum capacity of 20,741.

Parramatta Stadium is one NSW’s premier multi-purpose arenas regularly hosting a variety of sporting, entertainment, corporate, cultural and community events. Opened in 1986 by her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and HRH Prince Phillip on 5th March 1986. 

Situated just over 20km from Sydney’s CBD and is located in the geographic epicentre epicentre of the city close to more than 2 million people living in Western Sydney Region.
The well looked after pitch will be ready for all competing teams come Sunday as the NSW Premier League Grand Final fever grips Parramatta Stadium.
