Peter Tsekenis appointed Sydney Olympic First Grade coach
After a long period of negotiations, the Board of Sydney Olympic and Peter came to a final agreement a and together with his assistant Peter Papoythis they will be in charge of the first grade team of Sydney Olympic the coming season.
Tsekenis was delighted after signing his new contract and stated to the press.
“We are very happy to be here, I have had the chance to play here, I was the captain of Sydney Olympic and now a coach of the Club.”
After Peter Raskopoulos, Tsekenis is the only the second person that has achieved this.
“After my discussion with the President of the Club, Mr George Giannaros I realized that the Club is moving in the right direction and it is time that we also do all we can to support the Board of Sydney Olympic and take this Club back where it belongs, at the top tier of Australian football.”
The Board of Sydney Olympic would like to wish Peter and his assistant all the best with the new role they have took on and they will be supported by Sydney Olympic office staff and Board of Directors throughout the period they are employed by the Club.
It is a great opportunity to work closely with a well known coach that the Board believes can deliver to this Club and meet the expectations of our supporters.
