NSW Volunteering Strategy 2012
Football NSW is encouraging clubs and associations in recognising volunteers who have contributed to the game to be acknowledged.
The first NSW Volunteering Strategy was launched on 14th of May 2012 during the National Volunteer Week.
The NSW Government is investing an additional $4.5 million in resources in volunteering over four years to support the Strategy.
The NSW Volunteering Strategy is available at the newly upgraded website www.volunteering.nsw.gov.au
One of the key priorities of the Strategy is recognising and celebrating volunteering.
In 2012, the Government has increased support for the Volunteer of the Year Award Regional Program.
Applications for this Award are now open and people are encouraged to nominate volunteers in your local area.
