Wynton Rufer to experience Valentine Sports Park with U11s team

All Whites legendary striker Wynton Rufer will be a special guest at Football NSW’s Valentine Sports Park as his Under 11s Soccer School of Excellence takes on Sydney United 58’s SAP team tonight.
Currently on a whirlwind Sydney tour with his developing U11s side, the former FIFA Oceania Player of the Century award winner is utilising this trip in further educating his up and coming youngsters on what they’re competition is like across the Trans-Tasman as well as acclimatising and accommodating themselves away from home.
Rufer is well known to many as being one of the best players ever to come out of Oceania.
He is currently in the top 20 all-time leading goalscorers list in in European Cup Competitions, was also part of FIFA’s top 100 legends list from 2004 amongst a number of other phenomenal achievements which saw him play in the English, German, Swiss and Japanese football leagues.
Rufer will also have the chance to watch Kiwi U15s club Onehunga Soccer and Sports Club at Blacktown Football Park take part in this weekend’s Manchester United Premier Cup as they join six Australian state winners with the winner going to the world finals in Manchester later this year.
Marko Filipovic’s young squad will be on show as well with the Reds further continuing its improvements in developing future stars of tomorrow at Edensor Park.
