Seven rounds into the competition and we are set for even more action this weekend when all teams in the top four square off against each other.

The Camden Tigers lie equal fourth on the table with Hurstville FC and will be searching for a much-needed win over Southern Districts at home.

While Hurstville FC have the opportunity to leapfrog their way to second spot when they play two matches throughout the week due to a previous washout.

University of NSW vs Hurstville City Minotaurs, 3pm Saturday 23rd May at David Phillips Field (Match of the Round)

University of NSW and the Hurstville City Minotaurs square off in an important match this week, as a win would see the home side only one point out of the top four.

If the Minotaurs come away with the points however, they can leapfrog as many as two spots on the table, including Uni of NSW in the process.

Both sides are on the back of round six losses so they will be eager to address this come Saturday.  Uni of NSW will be relatively happy with their second half performance last week against the Western Condors, as they managed to win that late battle 1-0 despite being down a man due to a red card.  However, discipline continues to be an issue for them and they will need to come out of the blocks firing this week against “The General’s” arsenal.

Wagga City Wanderers vs FC Gazy Lansvale, 3pm Saturday 23rd May at Gissing Oval

The Wagga City Wanderers will host FC Gazy Lansvale in a bottom of the table clash this weekend as both teams are still searching for their first win of the season.

Despite this, FC Gazy have improved in recent weeks by sticking to their structures and keeping a cool head in bookable situations.

The Wagga City Wanderers have showed that they are capable of competitive starts to their matches, however, for them it is a matter of putting together a whole match performance as most of the goals scored against them, occur in the second half.

This match will be crucial because if they have any hope of igniting their season, it starts this weekend.

Hurstville FC vs Dunbar Rovers, 5pm Saturday 23rd May at St George Football Stadium
Hurstville FC have made up for lost time by winning their last two matches convincingly, after two washouts saw them out of action temporarily.
Denis Cutura has been outstanding for Hurstville FC and has acted as their general in attack, while captain Andrew Harb has been a brick wall for them in defence.
For Dunbar, they have proved that teamwork will result in success with 12 players having found themselves on the score-sheet at some point throughout the season.  Their hunger to win stems throughout the whole squad, with players such as Sean Burke and Juan Arcila Lopez continuing to impress when given the opportunity.
Both teams have been in great goal scoring form the last two weeks so this match should bring an entertaining and free-flowing style of football.
Prospect United vs Western Condors FC, 5pm Saturday 23rd May at William Lawson Park – WASHED OUT
Camden Tigers vs Southern Districts Association Club, 7pm Saturday 23rd of May at Ron Dine Reserve
The last match of the round will see Southern Districts make the trip inland to Camden, hungry for a win on the road after last week’s defeat to Prospect United at home.
The Tigers have missed the presence of their captain Daniel Semaan, who will serve his last week of suspension after picking up a red card in their round five clash against Hurtsville FC.
Southern Districts have a tough month of football ahead of them, which will see them lock horns with each top four team one week after another.
Head coach, Ramson Shamon is aware of this but full focus is on the job at hand, as Camden will desperately want the three points to stop their string of losses.
