Around the Grounds @ Berowra Oval
Northern Suburbs Football Association side Berowra FC cops the Around the Ground’s Football NSW treatment as we highlight picturesque Berowra Oval.
An idyllic football facility nestled in bushland, the Oval comes with a BBQ area, seating for spectators, clubhouse, car park, picnic area as well as floodlights for evening training sessions and matches.
Established in 1960, Berowra FC has gone from strength to strength since its early beginnings catering to over 700 registered players across 50 plus teams in local and regional competitions.
Drawing its loyal membership from across the surrounding suburbs of Berowra through local schools and families catering for all ages both male and female, you can tell automatically what a family friendly club this really is.
Accommodating to all playing standards from the beginner and recreational right up to the elite standard in youth and adult competitions especially focusing on the growth of the women’s game, its versatility as a club is there to be seen.
The club has also seen a few handy Australian football stars grace the Oval playing in their club colours with the likes of George Blackwood, Jordan Smylie, Grant Last and Nat Tobin all calling Berowra FC home once upon a time.
The club also prides itself deeply on the heart and soul of its community with many volunteers giving up their time in providing a vital community service by managing and coaching youth age groups from ages 6 to the Under 18s supported by their family and friends.
