King Park Public School raising funds to improve Football Facilities
Football mad Western Sydney based King Park Public School is in the midst of raising funds to improve its football facilities.
The Wakley based school has been recorded as one of the most successful footballing Primary Schools across the state with multiple NSW State Knockout Championships.
King Park is planning to take their facilities to the next level so current and future students as well as footballers can enjoy the benefits of improved quality of pitches and exercise areas.
To help with the fundraising, former student and current Southern District Soccer FA’s Technical Director Rod Galic has come on board to help out.
Galic has sort assistance from former Socceroo and Mitre representative Robbie Wheatley who in turn, has supplied the Footballs used for an upcoming silent auction.
Through Rod’s football contacts, a number of past and present Socceroos and A-League stars including Alex Tobin, Robbie Slater, Steve Corica, Mark Milligan, Tommy Oar, Ante Milicic and Milos Ninkovic have assisted in signing these prized possessions.
Galic, alongside Fairfield’s State MP and Southern District’s Soccer FA’s number one patron Guy Zangari, recently visited the school and presented these footballs set to be sold via silent auction.
“A big thanks to everyone involved in helping the most successful footballing primary school achieve and maintain its commitment to excellence in both football and education,” Galic stated to Football NSW.
