Football NSW continued its investment into promoting the world game to regional female footballers last weekend following a host of events that took shape.

Young hosted the TSP Regional Game Day for both the Under 14’s and 16’s Girls as well as the Under 18 Girls Identification/Development Day.

There was some fine football on display at the TSP Regional Game Day while the Identification/Development Day was a real smash hit with both the players and parents.

This event in particular is responsible for providing opportunities to regional female footballers with support from the NSW Government.

While Forbes hosted a special Female Football Gala Day as well as a Coaches Workshop where over 40 coaches attended.

Current Western Sydney Wanderers Head of Female Football Tm Sermanni was a keen onlooker and attended both the TSP Game Day and Gala Day and was happy with what he saw with regards to upcoming regional female footballers and their developments within the game.

Football NSW’s Development Manager for Regional Football Andrew Fearnley was impressed with how the weekend unfolded.

“This was yet another opportunity for us at Football NSW to support female football in regional areas by bringing together the region’s best players in games as we consider players for forthcoming State Teams.

“In addition, we are developing a longer pathway for regional female players by providing more opportunities for the region’s best female players over the age of 16.

“It was also great to support the Gala Day at Forbes given it had such a great focus on female players and teams.

“We look forward to hosting many more of these events during the course of the 2022 season and beyond.”
