Mt Druitt Town Rangers have officially announced a bold new chapter, confirming they will transition to their new identity as Western City Rangers Football Club.

The rebrand reflects the club’s growing ambition and its commitment to representing the wider Western Sydney region, while maintaining the proud heritage established in 1970. Club officials emphasised that although the name is evolving, the heart and spirit of the Rangers remain unchanged.

The announcement comes as the club undertakes significant investment in its facilities, pathways, and development structures. Popondetta Park is currently undergoing major lighting upgrades, with further improvements already in motion. The clubhouse is set for refurbishment ahead of the 2026 season, and a new female and JDL amenities block is scheduled for completion in February 2026.

Supporters can also expect new staff appointments, refreshed branding, and new kits to be unveiled soon.

With these projects underway and a strong vision for the future, Western City Rangers FC is positioning itself for long-term growth and success.

The club has stated the transition represents a united step forward for football in Western Sydney—a new name, but the same Ranger spirit.
