Division One Youth League Round 21 Review

The result for the coming weekend will be interesting if only in sorting out the exact placings of the teams in preparation for the play-offs. Good luck to all concerned.
The Club Championship
With only one round to play Blacktown Spartans have an unassailable lead of twenty-five points and so they have already claimed the title for this season. Congratulations go to them. This week they bagged thirteen points at home to third placed Fraser Park while second placed Mt Druitt Town Rangers shared the points at seven apiece with seventh placed Hurstville City Minotaurs.
Camden Tigers are in fourth position following their gain of ten points at home to eighth placed Hills United who earned another three points from their Round 13 catch-up match with Gladesville Ryde Magic. Sixth placed Magic had pocketed nine points at home to tenth placed Stanmore Hawks on Saturday.
Sydney University are placed sixth after they grabbed eleven points at home to ninth placed Rockdale City Suns and twelfth placed Hakoah took eight points from their visit to eleventh placed Springwood.
In Round 18 catch-up matches Fraser Park took thirteen points at home to Hurstville City Minotaurs.
Grade 13
Gladesville Ryde Magic have extended their lead at the top of the ladder to six points and claimed the Premiership with a 4-0 win over twelfth placed Stanmore Hawks and then they had a 1-0 victory over Hills United in a Round 13 catch-up match. Congratulations go to them.
Camden Tigers are second after they posted a 3-1 win over tenth placed Hills and third placed Sydney University were 2-0 winners over eleventh placed Rockdale City Suns.
Blacktown Spartans are in fourth place following their 3-0 result over Fraser Park who moved to fifth after they downed Hurstville City Minotaurs 2-1 in a Round 18 catch-up match. The eighth placed Minotaurs had lost 2-0 to ninth placed Mt Druitt Town Rangers on Saturday. Springwood dropped back to sixth spot despite their 1-0 win over seventh placed Hakoah.
Grade 14
Blacktown Spartans lead the way on the competition table by a margin of three points after they were 1-0 winners over Fraser Park who moved up one place to fourth when they had a 1-0 win over second placed Hurstville City Minotaurs in a Round 18 catch-up match. The Minotaurs had played out a scoreless draw with third placed Mt Druitt Town Rangers on Saturday.
Camden Tigers are fourth following their 1-0 success over sixth placed Hills United who then drew 1-1 with eighth placed Gladesville Ryde Magic in a Round 13 catch-up match. Magic had lost 3-1 on Saturday to eleventh placed Stanmore Hawks.
Rockdale City Suns are placed seventh after they drew 2-2 with tenth placed Sydney University and Springwood are ninth following their 2-1 loss to twelfth placed Hakoah.
Grade 15
When top team Blacktown Spartans knocked over second placed Fraser Park by the odd goal in five they were able to claim the title as Premiers so congratulations go to them. Fraser Park are eleven points behind the leaders after they were held to a 1-1 draw by third placed Hurstville City Minotaurs in a Round 18 catch-up match.
The Minotaurs had posted a 2-0 win over fourth placed Mt Druitt Town Rangers on Saturday while fifth placed Sydney University were 1-0 winners over eleventh placed Rockdale City Suns.
Camden Tigers are sixth and only one point outside the top five after they drew 1-1 with ninth placed Hills United who then went down 6-2 to eighth placed Gladesville Ryde Magic in a Round 13 catch-up match. Magic had beaten twelfth placed Stanmore Hawks on Saturday. Hakoah are placed seventh on goal difference after they had a scoreless draw with tenth placed Springwood.
Grade 16
Stanmore Hawks are three points clear at the top of the ladder following their 1-0 victory over eighth placed Gladesville Ryde Magic who then drew 1-1 with ninth placed Hills United in a Round 13 catch-up match. Hills had lost 3-1 to eleventh placed Camden Tigers on Saturday.
Second placed Mt Druitt Town Rangers suffered a 2-0 loss to Hurstville City Minotaurs who are placed fourth following their 3-2 loss to third placed Fraser Park in a Round 18 catch-up match. Fraser Park had played out a 2-2 draw with seventh placed Blacktown Spartans on Saturday.
Rockdale City Suns are in fifth position after they drew 1-1 with sixth placed Sydney University who are only a point behind them and tenth placed Hakoah drew 2-2 with twelfth placed Springwood.
Grade 18
Gladesville Ryde Magic have lead of two points at the top of the table after they produced a 2-1 win over ninth placed Stanmore Hawks and then they drew 1-1 with sixth placed Hills United in a Round 13 catch-up match. Second placed Mt Druitt Town Rangers were 4-1 winners over eleventh placed Hurstville City Minotaurs who then lost 5-1 to eighth placed Fraser Park in a Round 18 catch-up match.

Sydney University are placed fifth following their 5-1 victory over seventh placed Rockdale City Suns and Hakoah are tenth after they defeated twelfth placed Springwood 1-0.
