Sydney Olympic FC Forges Youth Development Partnership With 1st Eleven Football Academy

1st Eleven will aim to develop talented players aged 9 -12 in line with the technical vision of the Sydney Olympic Football Club.
Jim Kospetas, President of Sydney Olympic Football Club stated, ?The signing of this agreement is another giant step towards our clubs vision of providing the best development pathway for junior players who aspire to play at the highest level. We will continue to invest in initiatives that provide value to aspiring footballers. This is the first of a number of exciting initiatives we will be launching in 2008?   
The program will be managed by Academy Director and former Socceroo Aytek Genc.  The Championship winning coach and two time NSW Premier League ?Coach of the Year? will pass on his knowledge to invitees along with Sydney Olympic Director of Football, Manny Spanoudakis, Sydney Olympic Head Coach, Milan Blagojevic, , and former Young Socceroo and Olyroo, Ivan Zelic.
?1st Eleven is a highly regarded, professional organisation with a proven record in youth development and is a perfect fit for Olympic and its technical vision for young players,? said Olympics Director of Football Manny Spanoudakis.
The Program is open to selected players in 4 Age Groups; Under 9?s, Under 10?s, Under 11?s, and Under 12?s and provides advanced technical and tactical training and a potential career path into the Sydney Olympic Premier Youth Squads.
Academy Trials will be held at Peter Moore Oval on Monday 25th February. The Academy will officially start on Monday 3rd March 2008.
