Johnny Warren Football Foundation – Five Day Camp in Riverina
A squad of twelve players, with three older players as mentors, is participating in the camp at Borambola Sport 7 Recreation Centre near Wagga Wagga, between 4th ? 8th February.
These talented players will receive four training sessions each day, receiving expert tuition in heading, passing, striking the ball, finishing techniques, ball mastering and tactical defensive and attacking skills.
Small sided games, which are increasingly becoming part of Australian football development programs, will also be a feature of the camp, as will lectures on recovery, stretching and goal setting.
Activities are not just restricted to football. The youngsters will also be exposed to other sport and recreational activities such as abseiling, horse riding, archery and canoeing.
For good measure, given that the camp is taking place during a normal school week, the participants will not escape their school studies, with three hours each day being set aside for this purpose.
