TeleChoice Premier League Round 3 Preview

In arguably the match of the Round, both managers will have their work cut out as unbeaten records go on the line.

Defending Champions, and the only side to sit on zero-points after two rounds, Blacktown City Demons will be looking to get their title defence back on track with a home win against Macarthur Rams.
The Rams were disappointing against West Sydney Berries, meanwhile the Demons performance against Manly United was described as woeful by the crowd of 800 at Cromer Park last Sunday.
Bankstown City meet Sydney United at Jensen Park in an encounter that pits together two of the most skillful sides in the competition.
Both sets of players move the ball exceptionally well, though their respective starts to the season are a world apart.
Bankstown City has not enjoyed a strong start with a loss and a draw in the opening two rounds, meanwhile Ivan Petkovic?s Sydney United can gloat at their start to the season, with two major scalps ? Blacktown City and Marconi Stallions.
Luka Glavas has found his range for the Reds ? celebrating their 50th season of football ? meanwhile Peter Tsekenis & Co. will need to make do with the suspensions of Danny Slaveski and Tsekenis himself.
One of the most anticipated derbies of the old NSL ? Marconi Stallions-Sydney Olympic ? will take place at Marconi Stadium on Saturday evening, in a match that will certainly offer the supporters a great spectacle.
The Stallions? start to the season has undoubtedly been disappointing, and following a thumping at the hands of Sydney United last weekend, David Barrett will have to rally his troops  to find victory.
Sydney Olympic?s slight hiccup in Round 1 of the competition was totally forgotten following the impressive demolition job of Wollongong FC.
Shannon Cole has made a name for himself as a set-piece expert, and Marconi would do well to avoid giving free-kicks away around the penalty-area.
Two matches on Sunday see Penrith-Nepean United play host to unbeaten West Sydney Berries, meanwhile Wollongong FC and A.P.I.A.-Leichhardt Tigers will do battle at John Crehan Park, with both sides searching for their first win of the campaign.
West Sydney Berries? start to the campaign has been seen as a fairy-tale for the new Premier League outfit ? much of the credit to be handed to their player/coach Scott Baillie.
A.P.I.A.-Leichhardt?s disappointing last minute equaliser conceded at the death against Bankstown City last weekend will certainly act as motivation for John Romeo?s side as Wollongong FC hope to put aside the shellacking handed out by Sydney Olympic last Saturday.
