Marconi U15?s to fly the flag for NSW in Melbourne
The hungry young Stallions played out a scoreless draw during the match but proved victors when they won 4-2 on penalties against the Blacktown City Demons.
The Stallions defeated some quality outfits upon reaching the Final after they downed Wollongong FC, Manly United and Sydney United in its preliminary matches.
After defeating the Demons, the Stallions will now play against the winners from respective states such as Northern NSW, Victoria and a team from New Zealand.
Four teams in total will participate in the Melbourne Pacific Final leg over the weekend with the finals being held this Sunday.
The winner of the Melbourne Pacific Final will be representing Australia and New Zealand in the World Finals to be held in England in August.
This has been the second year that the Stallions have taken the flight down South.
In their previous encounter in 2005, Marconi were defeated by Victorian side Bulleen Lions 1-0 in the Final so the club will be looking towards making amends in going one better with victory in Melbourne.
