Stavroulakis Primed for Return Against Blacktown

Stavroulakis, who has not had the best of starts to the season due to injury and suspension, is eager to get back onto the playing fields and is counting down the days to his side?s clash with Blacktown City Demons at Seymour Shaw on Saturday evening.
?I can?t wait to get back and playing. This is not a good feeling at all being away from actual matches ? having to watch your team-mates from the grandstands.
?Missing the match against Bankstown City especially, is very difficult. These are the bigger matches and all football players want to play in the big matches.?
Stavroulakis? season did not start well as the Sharks? central midfielder was ruled out of pre-season due to a knee injury.
The Sharks Number 14 returned to action against Penrith-Nepean United in Round 2 of the TeleChoice Premier League, where he came off the bench for the final 24? minutes at CUA Stadium, and since has been in great touch prior to the Round 5 setback.
Regardless, Stavroulakis cannot wait for Saturday evening:
?I?m looking forward to getting back onto the field this Saturday,? commented Stavroulakis.
?I?ve been training well and have really missed playing matches, so I cannot wait for Saturday.
?The team is looking good, we have gelled very nicely together and our results show this ? we are first at the moment, and this is a true reflection of what we have achieved so far.?
Stavroulakis was also quick to add that his side would not become complacent despite the positive run the team has put together.
?We?ll continue to do our best each week. We will take one match at a time and our match on Saturday is against Blacktown City Demons, so that will be the match that we will start to concentrate on from this moment on.?
Blacktown City Demons? run thus far has been far from impressive, though Stavroulakis believes his team-mates will need to be at their best to secure a home win against Ken Schembri?s men.
?Blacktown?s results have not been great, especially considering they are the Champions from last season. Despite all this, Blacktown is always a side that can attack you and can hurt you, so even though we are expected to get three-points on Saturday, we will need to play good football, otherwise they can hurt us.?
Sutherland Sharks v Blacktown City Demons kicks off at 7:30 PM at Seymour Shaw, on Saturday evening.
