Conference League Southern Round 3 Review
Conference League Southern Round 3 Review
Only two games in the Southern Conference survived the weather, with Fairfield Bulls-Lilli Pilli and Sydney Cedars-Gazy Lansvale postponed until a later date.
Camden Tigers produced somewhat of a surprise, holding the free scoring Hakoah scoreless as they posted a much need victory at Ron Dine Reserve.
Late goals by Morgan (87?) and MacKechnie (90?) gave the Tigers three welcome points against the competition leaders.
Two winless sides came up against each other at Knight Park, with Colo Colo grabbing their first win of the season by trouncing Greenisland 5-0. Fernandez and Navarrete put the Wanderers on their way with goals before half time, before a brace from Hidalgo, and a 90th minute goal by Odei, rounded off a great day at the office for Colo Colo.
White City were not affected by the wet weather this weekend, choosing a good time to have their bye and a week off.
