Division One Round 5 Review
The rain had a devastating impact on the competition this week with four fixtures being washed out. Of course, they will be rescheduled shortly but the tables will have a peculiar look about them until all those matches are played.
Club Championship
Blacktown Spartans are still leading the way even though they were forced to split the points at six apiece with third placed Camden Tigers and Gladesville Ryde Magic have retained second spot after they bagged nine points from their visit to Hurstville City Minotaurs who used the six points share to move up two places to fourth.
Grade 13
Blacktown Spartans have held onto the top spot by their lead has been reduced to goal difference only after second placed Camden Tigers knocked them over with a 1-0 scoreline. Gladesville Ryde Magic are still placed third following their 2-0 victory over Hurstville City Minotaurs who dropped from sixth to seventh.
Grade 14
Blacktown Spartans maintained their position at the top of the table with a win by the odd goal in seven over fifth placed Camden Tigers with Blacktown’s goals coming from Billy Gunn (2) and Yousef Harake (2) while second placed Gladesville Ryde Magic came up with a 2-1 success over seventh placed Hurstville City Minotaurs.
Grade 15
Blacktown Spartans have a lead of four points on the competition table after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Camden Tigers who have fallen from fifth to sixth (Ryan Gibson provided Blacktown?s goal) and Hurstville City Minotaurs zoomed from seventh to fifth when they were 2-0 winners over Gladesville Ryde Magic who have remained in eighth place.
Grade 16
Hurstville City Minotaurs rose from third to take the competition lead this week with a 3-1 victory over Gladesville Ryde Magic who have dropped back one place to sixth while Blacktown Spartans maintained their place at fourth following their 1-1 draw with eighth placed Camden Tigers with Blacktown’s goal being supplied by Adrian Gatt.
Grade 18
Gladesville Ryde Magic move from second to the lead on the table with a very handy 6-0 win over Hurstville City Minotaurs who went back one place to ninth and Blacktown Spartans fell back a spot to second when they battled out a 1-1 draw with third placed Camden Tigers. The scorer for Blacktown was Nathan Roussos.
