Premier Youth League Round 10 Review

The weather was kind to us this week and so it was possible to play a full round of football. There were a few surprising results over the weekend and that has caused a few changes to the look of the various tables and so things are becoming very interesting indeed.
Grade 13
Marconi Stallions remained at the top of the table when they were 1-0 winners over Wollongong FC who have dropped back one place to eleventh while Sutherland Sharks moved up one spot to second when they downed eighth placed West Sydney Berries 3-0.
Blacktown City Demons went from fourth to third with a 2-0 victory over last placed Bankstown City and Manly United fell from second to fourth when they were beaten 1-0 by Sydney United who have stayed at fifth.
Macarthur Rams rose one place to sixth with a 5-2 success over ninth placed Penrith Nepean United while A.P.I.A. Leichhardt Tigers dropped back one place to seventh when they went down 4-2 to Sydney Olympic who climbed from eleventh to tenth.
Grade 14
Sutherland Sharks took over the competition lead with a 2-0 result over West Sydney Berries and, in Round 8 catch-up action, a 5-0 win over NSWIS Girls, whom the Berries had also beaten by the same scoreline. Marconi Stallions slipped back to second spot on goal difference despite their 2-0 win over twelfth placed Wollongong FC.
Blacktown City Demons remained at third after they came up with a solid 6-0 result over last placed Bankstown City and Penrith Nepean United are still fourth following their 1-0 victory over tenth placed Macarthur Rams.
Sydney United retained fifth place with a 2-0 win over eleventh placed Manly United and Sydney Olympic are still eighth after they defeated ninth placed A.P.I.A. Leichhardt Tigers 5-1.
Grade 15
A.P.I.A. Leichhardt Tigers are now at the top of the table, up one place from last week, thanks to a 2-0 win over fifth placed Sydney Olympic while Wollongong FC also moved up one place to second with a 4-0 success over Marconi Stallions who have fallen from first to fourth.
Blacktown City Demons jumped from fourth to third when they produced a 4-0 win over twelfth placed Bankstown City and Sydney United remained at sixth following their 2-1 victory over Manly United who dropped back one place to tenth.
Macarthur Rams are still in seventh spot after they came up with a 1-0 scoreline over Penrith Nepean United who fell from tenth to eleventh and Sutherland Sharks retained eight position despite their 2-0 loss to West Sydney Berries who flew from twelfth to ninth.
Grade 16
A.P.I.A. Leichhardt Tigers have a lead of three points at the top of the table after they were 4-0 winners over tenth placed Sydney Olympic and Manly United are still second following their 1-0 result over Sydney United who have dropped from third to fifth.
Marconi Stallions moved up one place to third when they won 2-0 over Wollongong FC who went back one place to seventh while Blacktown City Demons climbed one position to fourth after they produced a 1-0 win over ninth placed Bankstown City.
Penrith Nepean United jumped up two places to sixth with a 2-0 result over Macarthur Rams who dropped from seventh to eighth and Sutherland Sharks swapped places with West Sydney Berries at the foot of the table when the Sharks were 2-1 winners.
Grade 18
Marconi Stallions moved up two places to take over the leading spot on the table thanks to a 3-0 victory over fourth placed Wollongong FC while Blacktown City Demons dropped back one place to second when they played out a 2-2 draw with eighth placed Bankstown City.
Penrith Nepean United went from second to third after they downed tenth placed Macarthur Rams by the odd goal in five and A.P.I.A. Leichhardt Tigers remained at fifth following their scoreless draw with sixth placed Sydney Olympic.
Sydney United held onto seventh position despite their 3-0 loss to Manly United who are still ninth and West Sydney Berries downed Sutherland Sharks 2-1, a result that leaves the teams in eleventh and twelfth places respectively.
